I recently received my first rags to rugs kit and can't wait to get started. I want to start so badly but have promised myself to get a couple other projects completed first. My "host a party" went well! I had gotten all kinds of goodies to munch on, but everyone was so intent on making their rag rugs that most of it went untouched. Everyone who caught on quickly helped those who had a harder time. They were all delighted with the colors of the fabrics. There were six rug makers including me. Two ladies came to watch. So all in all it was a great success! I should mention that the DVD was a great help. It made everything they had questions about made clear. I must do this again....

I just found your site yesterday and I love it! My Nana taught my mother how to make rag rugs and my mother who is 87 makes them. I have decided to carry on the tradition and become the 3rd generation to make rag rugs. I will be ordering your DVD soon, and I love your fabrics, they are beautiful. I saw you on UTube demonstrating how to connect the fabric without sewing, so I am going to teach my mother how to do so, as she has been sewing her fabrics together. I was running into some issues with a rug and emailed You (Lora) and instead of getting a email back I got a personal phone call.You suggested where I may have gone wrong on my rug and reminded me again of the crochet on demand concept.I went home and pulled all the work I had messed up out and redid using your suggestions and voila! perfection. Having been a craft addict all my life I am always on the lookout for something new to try. Lora makes it possible to try crocheting rugs very painless. I certainly cannot imagine cutting all those strips myself. Her color choices are great. I am almost done with my first rug and am already planning the next one. Just moved and there are a lot of bare floors here. Someday they will be wall to wall rags, I hope!
