I am so excited about my purchase, I cannot wait to get started on my rug!
I love your rugs and can't wait to try making my own from one of your rag rug kits.
Your rugs look awesome! I am looking for the time to try to make one. Probably this winter.
I truly love this site. I have made a few rugs for gifts and only one for myself. I have one started from when I was home for six weeks recovering from sugury that I need to finsh. I will be ordering material from you when I start my next one. I struggle with picking out the colors so I will be ordering a kit.
I love your kits, Hope to get mine made soon!
Now that life is settling down a bit after a crazy summer I am spending my time working on my very first rag rug. It is already looking great. I can't wait to finish it.
I've made two of your rugs so far, one for my daughter and one for myself. We both LOVE them!

Looking forward to ordering my first rug/kit. They are so beautiful! Now I just have to decide which one.
I have loved learning to make these rugs and weaving placemats! They are beautiful!
I just LOVE your rugs and will starting one as soon as I can decide which one to make! There are so many wonderful choices,I'm having a tough time trying to make a decision!
I have always thought I would learn to make those beautiful rugs like my Great Grandmother made. She tried to teach me when my attention span was too short. I wish now I could have learned as quickly as she needed for me to. I am old enough now at 57, that it is high time I get about the business. I am not quite sure where to begin, except to buy a really large crochet hook and start making balls of fabric! Any suggestions you may have would be appreciated. I think it is a single crochet stitch but not sure. I plan to do this as part of my physical therapy. I am left-handed, broke my left wrist last December, and still have dexterity issues. I have mostly problems with lifting weight. I believe by making rag rugs I can motivate myself to do something constructive addictive and help keep that left hand nimble.
The bag is open and I am getting ready to make my rug! Love the materials and colors.
I'm so glad I discovered Rags to Rugs in Country Sampler magazine! But I think I've created a monster -- I look at fabrics on anything and anyone differently now with a perspective of 'matching' and '# of strips it could produce'... I LOVE your pre-attached fabrics, your pre-matched sets of fabrics & the respective rugs, and just browsing your website -- love the rag-rugs!!!
I found out about your rugs and website in the Country Sampler Magazine. I went online the next morning and ordered a kit. Can't wait to get it and start workiing on it!
I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to answer all my questions. My children and I are having fun exploring all the different materials to make the rugs in. thanks again
I enjoy looking at all the beautiful fabrics in the kits and hope to order my own soon!
I received my kit late February and made it up right away using the oval directions. I loved every minute I was working! The rug turned out fantastic, and my biggest fan, is my chocolate lab Rosie, who immediately adopted the rug as her own! I immediately went to the fabric store and purchased a boat load of fabric to start another rug. This time I am using the directions for the round rug and love the outcome! Thanks for the fun, Debbie Jones
Love the soft cozy rugs. I have made several of them. Its very addicting.
I love making rag rugs...I've made three already!
I ordered the patterns and been busy cutting and crocheting...I love crocheted rugs. Bought a bolt of Christmas fabric and ripping it for a nice Christmas rug...
I am addicted to making rag rugs.
I am new to this art of rug making!! Can't wait to get started.. your website makes soo easy to do !!
Thought I better sign-in and pick my fabric out!! Have a great day ladies!!!
Ordered my 1st rug kit today CAN NOT wait to get it and get started. Lora I really enjoyed our conversation and the love you have for what seems, sometimes, to be the dying art of needlework. Thank you so much for the encouragement and help. I will be ordering again! I still want to do the weaving.
i got my first rug kit for christmas. my mom thought i would love this new craft...and i do. i made two rugs out of my first bundle i think it was 3 bundles together. its at home where my dad uses it by his favorite chair-and my cat loves it too. i recently bought myself a new bundle-blue denim. it makes a nice rug next to my bed in my dorm-and well liked by dorm mates! thank you rags to rugs!
can't wait to start my new rug!!
I love your rugs, I to crochet and have made rugs! I sure will pass your link on to all the craft sites I am a member of this might help alot of people who are wanting to learn! There is not alot of patterns out there for people to learn by so maybe you can help them! This is awsome, god bless
I discovered your website and am so excited about getting started on making my own rag rug. I have always loved the look of a braided rug. I knew how to crochet but didn't know that I could use those skills to make such a beautiful rug! Love your website!
Love the rugs! I'm a quilter, so quite used to "stripping", but happy not to have to do the cutting first, with your kits!
We are snowbirds in rv for the season. Ordered your rug kit as I could'nt find a rug the right size for small rv bath! I ordered the blue extra lg kit and was able to make a really large rug for front door area and also a matching one for the bath. I took it to crafts class here in the resort and everyone when crazy over it. I passed out your site address. I have ordered 3 more fabric bundles. I love these and they are so fast and yes very addictive.
I've made my own rag rugs for years, but now purchase your strip bundles. Not having to cut all my own strips has decreased the time it takes me to make a rug by half. Thank you for offering such a great product!
i admit I have had a kit here at home for a while and didn't have the time to dig in and work on it. But, now, being a retired teacher, I can't wait to get started on it! The rugs you have are amazing!!
Lora taught me to crochet rugs a year ago and I love to do it. I believe I have made over twenty now and given many as gifts and donated many for charity bazaars. I recently have moved to a smaller hook and am making hotpads. Thanks Lora for teaching me!
My husband and I were having trouble finding a rug to place by our front door, but the size we need is not standard. Plus our decor is rustic country, and nothing looked right. I saw your rugs in the Country Sampler magazine and remembered the rag rugs my favorite grandmother used to make. I ordered a couple of the blue kits to try my luck and see how they looked. WOW! I was really surprised how easy and fun it was, and my husband LOVES how they look. I placed these rugs in the bathroom and now plan to tackle the rug for the front door. I am also looking into learning how to weave a placemat. Thank you for reviving some very happy childhood memories, as well as making me feel crafty.
Made a rug in no time....what fun it was. Thank you for the great service.
Can't stop checking back with you guys for the new stuff that you have. I LOVE your site! I go to rummage stores and buy old sheets and use them for my rugs, but due to a bad back I'm having trouble cutting the fabric, any ideas where to look for help in getting fabric cut down to size? Thanks for all your help in the past. You guys or should I say gals have the most wonderful customer service in the world!
